I haven't read too much about it, however upon a brief investigation, some ideas which are related to the theory seem plausible to me while others do not - for example, it is not possible for RNA to self-replicate on it's own accord without some kind of biological machinery to facilitate it, which creates the chicken & egg paradox again - while an RNA molecule can catalyze polymerization, this is not replication. However, the idea that RNA could have been the leading codons of early life instead of DNA seems possible to me
