@ 1st bold: Actually, I do. Aside from the ridiculous smackdown that russian gave you, an object that is INVISIBLE is, by its very definition, unable to block light waves.
@ 2nd bold: Your assurance means nothing when you can't even explain why it "isn't valid." Selenelion eclipses are completely due to the refraction of light through the curved atmosphere.
The reflected light from the Earth very literally pales in comparison to the light coming around the edges of the moon. It is so bright you can permanently damage your vision by looking at it.
I crushed russian by pointing out Em Frequency ranges in 100s of thousands of hertz, visible light only operates in .1% of that, you cant tell me you're an expert in the properties of Dark Matter and Energy when even our greatest scientist dont even understand it
Inflated bus driver ego/10

if your going to use refraction as an excuse - than you need to always use it an excuse and you seem to like to just claim that word whenever it suits your narrative
so explain to me how refection works one way in one direction and its mirrored if you look in another direction, is the shadow affected by refraction too, how does this affect the path of the sun every day and why isn't it used in any eratosthenes "proof"
How does this claim affect every other eclipse? You much work to do to make that claim before its valid, till then its just another sad excuse.
Also i know many people that watched the eclipse without any protection - your eyes are muscles and if you never use the muscles above your shoulders they tend to get very very weak.
