Pretty sure you never mentioned prism before. Your challenge was always to create a rainbow without a mirror.
Besides, a raindrop acts as a prism combined with a mirror, so your challenge is nonsense. Might as well ask people to create a rainbow without using any light.

And if the skydome was indeed a prism, it wouldn't be able to make any rainbows anyway. All the light would shine outwards into space (or whatever is beyond the dome). And even if did somehow magically see it, we would be seeing rainbows all the time, not just when it rains. The entire sky would be one giant perpetual rainbow.
