@card_sultan if those 160 video's is too much for you, here's something that's easier to watch for you which includes a lot of visuals and cartoon examples.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slinky

Slinky is a toy, a precompressed helical spring invented by Richard James in the early 1940s. It can perform a number of tricks, including travelling down a flight of steps end-over-end as it stretches and re-forms itself with the aid of gravity and its own momentum, or appear to levitate for a period of time after it has been dropped.

not accurate - it's a helical coil, but not a spring. Things like this are why American's are so dogmatic in Astropreist science.

Just provide one example of a slinky replacing a tension spring, why do you keep dodging?

Strawman, i need an example of a slinky replacing the function of an actual spring.

If you can't do it, please dont spam your nonsense.

You're replacing one spring for another spring

A slinky is not a fuking spring, it does not even remotely serve the same function.

replace your garage door spring with a slinky and show me it works still and now we're talking

You are absolutely clueless, aren't you? There are significant differences in the relative strengths of different springs. Just because you wouldn't use a Slinky as a replacement for a garage door spring does not mean it is not a spring in and of itself. Just a spring that is too weak to perform the task of working a garage door.

i already did, you just keep ignoring it. slinky, car, wall. bam, spring.

this whole spring thing is gone so far down hill it seems like you're trolling now. not even a 3rd grader would use this type of reasoning.
