yeah, grants aint bad, i used to buy that when i was poor. now id rather save the money towards something better. never seen a mini of it to add to my mini collection, though, which is what that list it.

Have a bottle of Aberlour 12-year in my cabinet right now. Good stuff. Has that classic Highland flavor (little bit smokier, not much of the peat taste). Got it for $30 too, which is a nice bonus.

welll that was disappointing. we're on vacation in new hampshire, which is supposed to have very good prices on liquor (it did last time i was here) due to much lower taxes on it. but many of the prices were the sam e or higher than in some stores in nyc.

more rye tonight forty creek. its shit whiskey. is there even a good rye out there? crown? wisers deluxe? even those taste garbage

idk, ive tried a few ryes, and i just cant get into em. there are some supposedly fancier ones out there, with fancier price tags, but i havent tried em. not gonna drop $60 on a bottle that i probably wont like.

if i thought there was a good chance i would like it i would. did that recently in NH with big peat blended scotch. im a fan of islay malts so i figured i would like it, but no, not really. dunno what they did, but it almost tastes a bit like tequila. wtf. its like they isolated the peat flavors and took out everything else. what a big disappointment.
