Not really. Its pretty fishy unless its a very young seal like a seal pup who hasen't had a lifetime of eating fish, a seal pup is closer to beef but more gamey.

Its also obviously supper fatty.

Diet very much has a large impact on taste. Its like a polar bear, they also taste quite fishy because they just eat seals.

Now, sweet potatos not added, and it does not have a light color to it yet since coconut milk still needs to go in so it looks like total shit at its current state bubbling away in a corckpot. But its tasty, it was a seal pup so you can see its little ribs. Bananas in the back for flair.

I shit you not, I found him 1.5KM inland from the sea-ice. Its not common, but its not totally out of this world for them to get lost, they end up on the land then a fox or wolf will eat their ass-end while they are still alive. So my 22 to the head is very much a reprieve from what was coming to him.

Not like you're going to find its mother and take him home.

I was just egg picking and my dog came across him.

Yeah, my wife had to look away for this one. Normally you're popping larger seals and from a distance unless you're spearing them over the hole. This one was like walking up to a puppy.

Poor bugger. But, waste not.

Im planning to visit Calgary/Banff in a few months…. Not sure if they’ll have seal restaurants or other exotics for me to try. I wanna try whale too.
