Christianity claims monotheism, but the God, Father/Son/HolySpirit is three Gods. The bible claims these three are one
There is no good argument for it, the only response I get for defending the Trinity, is that God is all powerful and can do anything and we dont fully understand "Him".
Jesus responded to disciple after he responded to Jesus saying that he is the Messiah and Son of God, Jesus told him dont tell anyone, and that he only knew because the Godhead (Father) told him.
Personally, I have Faith in Jesus Christ to save me because I dont think that Jesus Christ lied and I do think he did exist but at the same time Im not going to say the bible is perfect and without error there are many contradictions and the narrative is centurys old and could have been manipulated for control.
If Jesus wasn't divine the he would not have connection directly to the Godhead who guides the Son. The holy spirit was sent by Jesus to consecrate our souls with Christ's shed blood. Remember, sins wages are death, and only God can save, so I am leaning towards Christianity being correct, because I imagine
for example God can be three and one, 1. because he has power enough to do anything 2. Only God's Son can save because the shed blood and crucifixion of christ he has divine blood and is 100% holy and perfect and never sinned, he just accepted his fate even though he did not want to suffer and asked for the cup of wrath to be passed from him,
God willing, but he chose to go through fulfilling all prophecies and saving the world and destroying satan. All I have to do is believe. I dont believe in works. I am saved because of what Christ did, I can do nothing without God, that is impossible.
Yeah the Trinity is a hard one to explain! I think the best single verse to confirm that the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are the same God is this: For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
1 John 5:7 KJV
As for contradictions in the Bible, you can find reasons for each contradiction though! Then you realize that they weren't really contradictions! I've come across a few of them myself and learned that whenever I find something that doesn't seem right, it's research time! Praise God that you have a good understanding of the gospel and you understand that salvation is a gift from God and not something we have to work for!
