A model, you tards, is never exactly the same as the real thing it represents. "All models are wrong, some are useful". Just like your pitiful brains, these machines were simply incapable of processing more complex models. Developing the software was also very difficult.

Can't wait until you find out Newtonian physics is actually wrong and prove gravity is not real with a screenshot.

From my powered paraglider at 18k+ feet I can already see the curve of the atmosphere. The mythbusters have done it at 68k feet. You people are dumb xD

Because it was the peak of the Cold War, and the Soviets had beaten us to space (Sputnik), put the first man into space (Yuri Gagarin), and it was a matter of national pride that the USA beat the USSR to the moon to make up for losing other key milestones of the Space Race.
