If you bothered to research and had understanding, then you would know that the straight latitude lines on the Gleason map are accurate and to scale,
but ALL the longitude are NOT to scale or accurate and is the reason that Australia looks stretched out on the Gleason map.
THIS would be the reason why your troll flight path attempt doesn't make sense.

Also if you bother to go back through this topic regarding the Eiffel tower pic, you will see the counter argument from what you are suggesting and you will once again look like a fool.
I can repost the rebuttal if you like, but I do not wish to make you look like a fool for a second time in a row.
