it is a failed experiment because the sun is small and local which affects your location and the outcome.
There is countless proofs showing clouds behind the sun, just like this one.

The clouds are not behind the sun, the sun is shining through the clouds. In my 26 years of life I've never seen a cloud behind a sun.
