There's actually a dedicated player base for D2R on the Nintendo Switch here on D2jsp. I could actually make some decent Forum Gold doing what I do best. Collecting 40 perfect gems and selling them. A couple years ago I made about 4500 Forum Gold just doing that. I found so many perfect gems and always had them in stock. I think I was selling them at 100 a pop and not just 40 per trade.

But in reality all it takes is a couple lucky drops on Hardcore Ladder Slasher, or regular Ladder Slasher which is what most people play, and you can easily earn more Forum Gold than D2R. At least from my own personal experiences. I've made 30,000 Forum Gold on Hardcore Ladder Slasher in the past two months. But the findings were probably once in a lifetime. I probably won't find anything super expensive for like another year or so. But even then I'd argue if I could ever make that much playing D2R for a full year. Probably not even close.

I used to be the best Hardcoe Ladder Summon Druid in the old Diablo 2 game. I'd always be 1st or 2nd on the Druid Ladder.
One season I made it to Level 98 and my experience bar was halfway to Level 99. And I was 3rd overall for all characters.
But after that I just was done. I had no energy and felt like I was losing it. I would never play that competitively again.
