As far as atmospheric magification goes you messed up your own case saying the water in the atmosphere causing the magnification is in gas form

How about you research your own claim and boil water to see if the steam (water in gas form) can cause magnification like you claimed.

In any case if you make a claim or theory the burden of proof is on you if you want us ro accept.

I offered to test his "law of perspective" using a flat surface and would buy the camera he chose so he could choose a lens that he knew would work. He refuses to tell me what he thinks will happen because making a specific claim would mean he could be proven wrong.

You failed to mention the research regarding sun appearing to be same size over locations containing large bodies of water (like lakes, rivers or oceans) but NOT maintaining same size sun appearance over locations with no water bodies (like a desert).
This very observation (repeatable scientific experiment) leads to the possible suggestion/conclusion that evaporation is magnifying the atmosphere and causing the sun to appear larger and hence not changing size.

But you left this out because you are well known for twisting words and taking things out of context.
