as someone who worked at HD, you're not really wrong. HD profits a lot, and taking advantage of their return policy like that is really normalized too. plus, a lot of their tools you can just rent out

if hd actually paid a good wage for their overnight teams and pushed good employee morale, i'd defend them here, but that's not the case
