Seeing as there is nothing in the vast expanse of space between where starlight originates and the outer edge of our atmosphere, yeah light can pretty much go forever. It's not until it reaches a medium (like air or water) that it begins to dissipate.

Because you were lied to about light being able to travel for billions of light years, simply based on tricking your mind - so it wasn't that hard.

No because the camera is not able to detect such a dim source of light.

Thats why we have other kinds of cameras.

We call them radio dishes and satalites and telescopes.
