yeah, i'm not even sure HELL is in the Bible - i think it was invented to control people back in the middle ages. Here's what they did. Say they convicted your father of murder.
He didn't even need to commit it - they could just pay some whore a coin to say she saw you stab someone, lies were probably worse and more blatant than today, and 2 minutes later the crime is solved and your father is hanging in tree. (YA 12th century justice - j/k) Anyway - so the church would now own you as the son forever and you had to work for the Church to buy your father's way out of Hell.
