Sometimes there is multiple "guest users" viewing this topic during parts of the day, which may suggest this thread (and the d2jsp website in particular) is hitting a certain search result type algorithm.
This extra activity for this website may lead to new members joining d2jsp so is kind of like free advertising. This may be one reason why this topic remains open.
I could be wrong though and maybe the real reason is the mods have come to learn the truth about the flat earth and they simply wish to keep this topic open and continue spreading the truth.

Although this is a nice thought, I'm thinking Paul is a flat earther himself and this thread likley cannot be closed by most mods.
