It's ranked #1 on a few sites of best beginner telescopes for it's price, paid $300 not including shipping, which was about $60.
Great scope for planetary, lunar, and even deep sky objects provided you are in the right geographic location.

I'd probably just look at the moon. I've never been able to see any planets in the sky even when I had access to a telescope. :p I could've just been bad at finding the proper place to look though.

Lol the moon is fascinating, but the planets are really something else when you see them with your own eyes, pictures can only do so much, but in case you missed them buried in this thread:
I got saturn and jupiter so far, both are my first pics of them ever, and it's very possible to get better.. i'm just still a beginner and tracking the planets is tough while imaging.

i cant imagine what its like, these pictures ur posting are thru the scope?
how do u take them?

Yeah they are through the scope. The moon pictures are taken just with my cell phone, the planets, I use a USB webcam that records a video and I get a frame out of the video and stack and fix it to a good image.
