Because LOX is not a fuel.

It is an oxider. There are numerous types of fuel but they all require oxygen for combustion.
The 3 components required for ignition are: oxidizer, fuel, ignition source.

LOX can’t be used for jet engines because the definition of a jet engine is dependant on not using a stored oxygen source for it oxidant. Jets by definition use atmospheric oxygen.

which of these 2 points confuses you?
Santara has already explained this in the simplest easiest to understand method posible.

LOX isn't a fuel source for rockets, it's an oxidizer so that the fuel carried by the rocket can burn. Jet engines COULD carry their own oxidizer, but that is a waste of space and resources when they can just scoop up air from the atmosphere. That's why jets have an intake. Rockets go places that do not have air, so they must bring their oxidizer with them.
