for.. the entirety of cartography. To account for the fact that we are placing a 3-d object on a 2-d surface ?

card claims that the distances that would be longer (i.e. australia to LA) are explainable by a conspiracy that pilots are in on to keep their jobs. so they fly faster than what they report as cruising speed to keep the conspiracy under wraps and consume more fuel than should be reported as well as a far faster speed that passangers don't feel all to cover up the true shape of the earth.

you have to boil down your arguments to VERY simple observable phenomena otherwise card hits the "its a conspiracy" button early and often.

Not surprising considering Australia only exists because England decided to throw out their trash.

whole conspiracy turns into a loose pussy when you realise millions of laypeople have to be clued in on it and be actively conspiring

oh how silly of you sir, when i correctly identified the millions of potential whistleblowers who would need to be involved he corrected me by telling me the hard facts that it would only take a few hundred or thousand, because reasons.

The answer is not that put their foot on the gas pedal and use more gas, they use the jet stream which is wind travelling at different speeds depending on elevation.

The simple fact that nearly all of the worlds governments would need to actually work together to hide a flat earth makes the probability of it being true about 0%.
