Everyone check out this stray cat I feed every night



He still won't let me pet him, he's verrrryyy sketched out.
I named him Richard after the night stalker because he comes around only at night time.
I love him.
I'll get the fucker one day and make him a part of the family.
Come to think of it he's probably the on who brought me the dead baby bird. What an awesome thank you gift

Warm Water on cold nights helps too :)
I've rescued a few stray cats in my day, but it get's snow and ice winter here. May have helped eased them into my arms.

When they finally let you touch them it's a huge milestone!

I'll put some out there now, I've been just using cold water. I put a cat bed outside with treats inside that he definitely eats, I'm not sure if he uses it to sleep but he's always welcome!

He doesn't run away when I'm out there but every noise sketches him out. I love cats man, they are always welcome here haha

Have you given a name to the cat?
Part of my process involves calling them by name when I see them.

Reinforce those positive verbal tones.

doh you said that, I apologize I've been thread hopping.
Well based on the picture I can say richard looks pretty clean.

It's important to be aware of things like Fleas or Ticks.
So if you ever get to handle him, check yourself afterwards.
And of course, take him to the vet down the road. :)

Yea if he ever lets me I'd love to take him in. I check all my cats regularly for fleas and they all have on flea collars.
