on a clear day (no clouds) with clear seas (no swell) does a ship disappear beyond the horizon?

yes it does, it disappears from my view, due to perspective.
humans have limited vision ofc
if i pick up some binoculars and look, the ship is now back in my view (due to the zoom in)
there is no curve......the earth is flat

so you said it disappears due to perspective. but that binoculars will make it so you can see it again.

so you believe that under no circumstances does a ship disappear beyond the horizon? so what causes a ship to be only seen half above and below the horizon on a clear day?
