orly. you're the one who said that flattening a spring makes it not a spring, and that a slinky is "turned into a spring". so, wat?

mmmmmmmmmmmmmhmm

who knew all it took was hanging something on a pole and adding a squirrel to make a spring out of a non-spring. i'll try it later with various items, jello, a #2 pencil, maybe even another squirrel.

oh and also a spring is always a spring.

no a spring is not always a spring and a slinky is not a spring - it only looks that way

that it total negates what you deem as a force, it is actually proof that it is only your misunderstanding that 9.8m/s^2
is just the linear temporal effect you experience when you drop something through the space/time medium we reside in.

it isnt a spring, it just looks like a spring, and if you attach it to a pole it turns into a spring when a squirrel imparts force on it. but it's totally not a spring.

^^^thats a pretty horrible attempt at definition, none of the factors define a spring

I gave you 3 sources that give more clearly defined definitions and shot yours to pieces with 3 examples of why it's an incomplete definition.

your example rested on bent pole, a 245 degree twist which technically divided the slinky coil in two parts and an unsupported descend.
Bad science is why the squirrel was able to outsmart it, it must be awful to realize a squirrel is smarter than you.
No wonder you were so triggered, my deepest sympathies

i guess we can add "unsupported descend" to the list of made up terms.
