So try to move the bottom of that spring without moving the top, see how the steel coils are rigid while compressed? Does a slinky do that?

please post a definition of a spring that says it must be rigid when compressed. plz.

That's why it's called a WEAK spring. A very weak extension spring.

exactly, weak minded people still have more brain function than vegetables.

alos yes. lay a slinky on it's side on a table and lightly push one side. it will remain intact and spin in place. due to internal tension it holds its shape.

I assume the "its" your referring to is a slinky - for something to be a spring its needs to provide end to end work while its compressed and extended

your argument is weak

dodge. dodge. dodge.

a slinky is under constant tension. weak, but constant tension. how do you think it gets it's helical shape?

you can't even answer if a picture is a spring or not.

welcome to flat earth 2019. its all about if a slinky is a spring. for the next 100 pages. your topic is over, and it's your fault. all you had to say was a slinky is a spring (you still can) and we can get back to physics, space theories, experiments, etc.

you made this into a slinky topic, lets see how you feel about not wanting to admit its a spring after 50 pages. we both know you cant leave this topic, even after a year time out. right back you came.

You're assuming a scale of work that should apply to all springs, when that isn't the case (never mind trying to yet again redefine something because you've painted yourself into a corner).

wait coil springs on an 18 wheeler and the spring that holds in a AA battery aren't the same strength?

spring: a piece of curved or bent metal that can be pressed into a smaller space but then returns to its usual shape:

hold a slinky in both hand by the ends, drop on hand 5 inches, and see it returns to its original state

your pseudoscience claims are dismissed, run back to your echo chambers get a group hug

A coil spring on an 18 wheeler isnt the same as a Slinky?

HOly crap your right - slinky's cant even support their own unbalanced weight...

debunked
