The book of John talks about Jesus being the Word. The word was with God and the word was God in the beginning. It is though the Word that all things were made. In the Word is life and it is the life of all mankind.

There was a man whose name was John. He is the one that testifies the coming of the Word in the flesh. John was preparing everyone for the coming of the Word. He was baptizing people in the Jordan River.

John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John talks about the Word and that the Word became flesh. John the Baptist is the one who testifies about the Word. It is here we learn that Jesus is the Word.

One thing I have noticed with many Religions is that you do not question why things are the way they are or why you are to do the things that you do. That I do consider brainwashing.

When it comes to Christianity, we are not only encouraged to question but we are expected to ask questions and make up our own mind. We are meant to ask questions when we read the Bible. You'll find that the Bible is VERY counter cultural. When we are weak then we are strong? What does it mean when we are weak then we are strong?

Sure, when you're a kid you won't be asking those types of questions but we have always said when you get older then you'll need to make that decision for yourself. It's inevitable that those kids will eventually question all that they learnt. Even I did that.

Yet with every question that I asked, it was answered and in great detail. There were real life examples of how what the Bible said did indeed turn out to be true. That is how I applied what was written in the scriptures, using real life examples. So when people ask the same questions I have the answer ready to give to them. We are not brainwashed, we did our own investigations. We asked and we were given. We seeked and we found. We knocked and the door was open to us.
