why the Sun doesn't appear to get smaller on the FE as its moving out of our range of site during sunset

Chivas believes it caused by magnification in the atmosphere caused by water
Card believes the higher you go the less objects will change in size as they move out of our range of site bypassing the theory above

And of cause the Vedic FE model popped up

I see.

My sister is a flat earth advocate and I am worried about my nephew's future. I have recently read "The Demon-Haunted World: Science As a Candle in the Dark" As a means to bring freshly to my mind a way to combat my sister's ignorance. I am not worried about my sister; she has a great job with heath benefits for young Ryker. Who I am worried about is my nephew Ryker. I am afraid that he will have no chance in life with his mother poisoning his mind from the very start. Okay, the general public school system may not be the best, but what hope can we have for Ryker if he enters school distrusting his teachers and adamantly assuming the world is flat? What I am wondering here is how I can approach my sister calmly and quietly about her views on the flat earth.

Let me explain a little bit about her behaviour:

It is quite typical of a conspiracy theorist. She has a general distrust in authority, which is why I cannot use any authoritative studies to dissuade her beliefs. Any attempt to speak with her about the science behind flat earth and/or reality (globe earth...) results in her frenzied anger almost immediately. Let me be clear: I do not (at least I am trying not to) attack her in any way in my approach. I am not trying to belittle her beliefs or question them. Even if I simply ask her about the flat earth she begins to flip out (because she knows that I do not believe it, so she knows where the conversation is going).

Please, for my nephew, I need some help. How can I:
-Get Jen to have a conversation with me rationally
-Make a valid point to her that she cannot defer to youtube videos which obviously deter the whole discussion since we can't continue talking until I have watched a 2 hour bogus documentary...
-Help my nephew have a good start in life despite his flat earth/conspiracy theorist mother

I've decided that giving Ryker a secret education behind Jen's back is not the way to go. Instead, I need to convince Jen. Any ideas how I can help out my nephew?

1. have you even looked into the flat earth model for yourself? (basic research)

2. do you genuinely understand the meaning or definition of the word Indoctrination? (to teach or to be taught a set of beliefs or opinions and to NOT accept other beliefs or opinions)
This is important, because most flat earthers understand the heliocentric model (spinning ball earth) but have been able to accept the geocentric model. If YOU are triggered and refuse to even look at a geocentric model, then this should be ringing an alarm bell for you.

3. Can children critically think for themselves? Why doesn't the education system allow both models to be presented? Why are they only Indoctrinated with the heliocentric model?

The Globe earth Calculator is just the perspective hijacking calculator, for you to understand why, you really need to understand what the horizon is, or how we perceive the 3rd dimension thats why your drawings and understanding is based in 2d side view, you are not taught about the 3rd dimension.

So if you believe Perspective is not a Law - explain this photo, why the floor rises to the horizon, while the ceiling lowers? Is it merely coincidence?

The sun cannot come into contact with the horizon of a flat Earth. My completely proper understanding, based on 2d side view, proves it.

Perspective is a thing. The "Law of Perspective" is not.

So a few mornings ago I was in this beautiful province in the oldest north American town the landing point of the would-be settlers Champlain is big here for sure anyways I stared the sun a good bit as it rose like a phoenix from the ashes of the night and I can tell you one thing for sure. Just as I remembered, staring it in the eye as a youth, it seemed to be within the boundaries within the containment of the fermament. As immutable as it seems, our sun does really appear as a created object pour our plaisir
