It has a focus on that, but so do regular fighting styles. In a fight to the death a BJJ practitioner doesn't let go of a rear naked choke when you tap. A Muay Thai practitioner won't stop beating your head when you go unconscious. Krav Maga is a niche fighting style with weapons defense and other moves which don't necessarily come in handy in a brawl with another person who knows how to fight.

I'm not hating on it, just pointing out that it is inferior to other disciplines.

Krav Maga is a self defense technique designed to incompacitate or kill your opponent when it is needed. It's not for beginners in any sense and those who partake in beginner classes without minimal knowledge of fighting either hurt themselves in the process or get killed when using Krav Maga in a real life situation.

Knowing the direction of force of each punch thrown/knifestrike/gunshot etc and knowing how to redirect that motion is key and being disciplined in using those techniques when needed and without hesitation is just as important.
