Thing is, discounting gravity isn't all that bad. The way laws work in physics requires a certain amount of goodwill in order to accept them. The reason why we accept these laws is because all observable phenomena confirm the laws. There is no proof, only observation.
It's perfectly reasonable to find this method phony, especially considering that laws are used to prove other theories in physics.
However, as it stands, card_sultan simply claims gravity is a lie (and that we're all gullible for believing it), without offering any tangible proof. The closest he got, as far as I remember, was by misusing the word "relative" and pretending that gravity implies a whole lot of impossible phenomena.
