Velocity needs to be measured from a reference frame, and from your reference since you are both moving on the same direction at the same rate it feels like it isn't moving at all.

The physics equations I used work to build bridges, cars, and supertankers but your claim is they suddenly don't work when the shape of the Earth is at stake. If the Earth were flat you should be able to give me NUMBERS where these equations don't match with reality, because if the equations were "just to look fancy" your car wouldn't start...
