Explain why you think the 55 miles is illogical.

gee I don't know....apparently the earth is spinning at 1,000 mph and it took him over 2 hours to fall 23 miles (once he finished going through all the fake safety checks and condition reports)
so how far should the earth have moved (from his position in fake space) in 2 hours if spinning at 1,000 mph? more than 55 miles maybe?

the fact that you have to ask this question is just sad.

when u r traveling in a car that is going 100 mph, and u roll down the window, then let a balloon go outside that window, does it keep moving with the car or does it disappear behind u in a blinding flash?

the stupid questions never cease...

The balloon gets slowed down by the air, just like the car would without thrust, but it still rotates the earth :)

the stupid questions never cease...

 B)

There is no friction in space, so it doesn't need thrust to keep its orbit and rotation :)

Here's a shocker... Maybe, when the dude jumped from that 23 miles height, he was actually moving along with the spinning earth, like most of the atmosphere does.

But I don't expect you to understand that.
