You honestly believe that slope is noticable?
If your view is only a mile wide - no one is going to notice the 8 inchs per square of the mile curve
But if you have a 3 mile view the curve would be 6 feet. I feel you would notice that- and actually they have done level tests that proved there is no drop of at all
If your view is 40 miles - then there would be a 1066 feet drop in all directions - buildings should be hidden behind curve but you can still see them
At 100 miles of view there needs to be a 1.26 mile drop in all directions, but you can see entire Islands in the Mediterranean on clear days
Peaople think their view is flat until the horizon , that that is the so called curve of the earth and then the curve starts.
