Show me where you got this information, Whats the machines and lasers called? Project Sun?
How can I show you in a way you would deem acceptable?

Lets start small scale, anyone can do this, and with the information one obtained, the distance of all other solar bodies can be inferred.
You can look up any number of ways a person can measure the distance of the moon from home, often times without spending any money.
(unless you reject modern science (like landing on the moon), trigonometry, and modern tech. (things like cameras, and satellite telescopes / radio(laser) telescopes)
Here. You might find this useful.

I also find it funny when the allegedly landed on the moon nobody had the bright idea to take a picture of the earth from the moon
Another thing people can observe from home, if they have the slightest clue as to what they are looking for.
