Seeing as how the moon is just a projection (watch crow777 videos about the lunar wave), i really dont see it as much of an issue adding a graphic to it.
if Lunar transits were real and you could make out the individual panels of the iss - they there should be shots of 1000s of satellites as well doing this and it
seems like an obvious trick that NASA is employing recently.
