Okay! Im waiting a little bit until it gets into a good viewing point, right now it's too low, I can see it with my eyes but there is my damn neighbors house in the way of the telescope vantage point, I will wait until it rises a bit more above their roof.

Awesome! :D

Why wouldn't you be big on Astronomy? It's amazing! :) ^_^

It's cool to think about and look at, but the thought of going into space scares the shit outta me... I like gravity :p

Ok guys.... I stood out there for an hour and a little bit to get this.
I have a Dobsonian telescope, which means imaging is a LOT harder, because I don't have a mount that tracks planets. I need to follow the planet manually, and they move.. FAST. I mean like, 15 seconds and they are out of imaging site.
So after literally freezing my toes off (they are actually in pain...), I managed to get this. This is without the 2x magnification lens, because that's a different beast... trying to track a planet while it's double magnified is something else.
Anyways, my first ever image of Saturn, I will have better in the future, I promise you! This is the best I can do atm!

Honestly one of the best purchases I've made in quite some time. If you're in to it, it's one of the greatest things you can own, plus it makes for a really fun hobby. Its amazing. You can get some cool pictures, my friends and co-workers constantly ask me if they could come over and use the telescope! Also you learn a LOT about the sky, I can point things out to people without even needing a guide, Stars, Planets, etc.
