Its not about that. At least not for me. Its just that it doesnt make sense for people to be like oh look the new year is starting, what should I do? Just set your goals at any point in the year as they come up. No need to wait until the end of the year to decide what you wanna do.

changing something or doing something instantly is one way or doing it, I agree

another is setting an upcoming day in a week or two away, allowing a person to prepare in what ever way to increase success

And I get that. But why do it at the end of the year? That's the only time people talk about it ever. "news years resolution", never "next weeks resolution" or whatever. It makes it seem like people only want to change when the year changes, as if that matters at all.

yeah I hear you dude, spose another thing is it's easier to achieve when you know everyone else is self-improving at a certain part of the year, it's no secret gyms see a huge increase in memberships after the new year, other similar things are sober October

that's a good quote, another difficult aspect for me is staying consistent

Yea for gym.. its best to just start asap

Most ppl who make gym their new year’s resolution stops going after a month

Ive never had new year resolutions personally… just wanna be healthy and still breathing is enough for me, everything else will be good after that

Indeed being healthy should be the main resolution for everyone.
