I believe there's a very high chance that aliens are real, even advanced aliens. I doubt that they're near earth though.
The odds of us being the only intelligent life in the universe is practically 0. The universe is simply too big. If it can happen once, it can happen again. Not only is the universe so big, but it's also so old.. Imagine all the alien races that were born and died out billions of years ago. Our minds can't comprehend this kind of large scale.
I believe aliens have to abide by the same physics and laws of the universe as everyone else though, which means we're impossibly far from each other. Who knows though, maybe they have mastered things like warp drive where they can bend the universe, or wormholes and such. Perhaps they've sent out robots to scout for other life, or put themselves into a deep sleep until they reach other civilizations, regardless though, if they're going the speed of light, it could still take millions of years potentially, and at that point, failure or abandonment is a high possibility.
