can i change class if i reroll ? i picked mage i just hit lvl 21 but im spending more time in town then i am in the catacombs

Sure, reroll pick a different one. Depending on what gear you have helps you pick a better one.

I don't have gear really some +6 caster stuff and a low lvl +8 godly club. What class is best for a slasher noob ?
