So my oldest (5 almost 6) loves video games. Heโs also pretty dang good for his age at them. However I limit his screen time especially on school days. I also make him play a little outside on nice days before allowing him screen time. Do you think this is appropriate? Should I take it easier? Should I be more strict?
Seen it happen too many times with family gets together.
It becomes life support for them and they can not function without it.
They are on it all the time and as soon as the mom comes and says times up, screaming non-stop.
Main issue along side that would be parents use it as a tool for them to keep the kids busy while they do something else and leave them on it for hours on end playing some bad free game with ads.
Brainrot at its finest.
I do agree with limiting access considering classrooms are now developing kids using chromebooks for everything they do.
Also, skipping days randomly isn't even mean honestly, if you can spare time since they won't be glued to a tablet and may need to give them attention.
Just give them heads up from the day before so they don't be shocked expecting a continued gaming session from yesterday.
