I run a whole house salt water softener and have a rev osmosis filter at kitchen sink.
Fill salt and change filter twice a year.

Yeah, same.
Our water here is pretty hard without it.
Softener helps keep thew appliances good.

We was going through a water heater every 2 years before.
It has paid for itself already.

i have ro di set up, i dont really like it
have a carbon filter, and a few coconut shell or w/e filters varying microns

i installed pex a few years ago, practically brainless to work with it

We drain ours every year, glad to have a drain in the basement.
