police shoot a bear in my area about two years ago. some neighhbors were upset but the police said once bears start
attacking / killing people it becomes part of their behavior and they'll do it again. so they killed it.

Wtf are you talking about? Post is asking about shooting bears from helicopters with no context. Hence why I asked why it deserved to be shot. Was someone hiking and being attacked? Sure shoot the fucker. Hunting? No, don't hunt bears that have cubs. (It's also specifically asking about shooting the cub anyway).

I wish I had my Handy that day in the mountains. That little 180ish pound blackbear recieved a 600grain arrow with a 150grain broad head on it straight to its face at about 4 yards.
