You can look through this list too

https://www.homedepot.com/b/Plumbing-Pipe-Fittings-Fittings-ABS-Fittings/N-5yc1vZ1z18i3p

Assuming ur in america

I see 2 inch, 3 inch, 1 1/2 caps in that list at least

Looks like a half inch hole.

you could measure the size of of it and also the pitch of the thread to know exactly the size you need any plumbing store should have but its prolly easier to take the part off and just bring it with you.

Appreciate the input, I'll hit up ace, maybe even the plumbing co in my area to see if they have one. There's no taking the part off, unless I take the whole pvc pipe off the main drain.

if you still have the nut cut a piece of plastif from anything. maybe milk carton or something flat. put water proof glue or maybe plumbers putty on it to cover hole then more on inside. screw nut on and check for leak.

I don't and I was thinking of some ghetto solutions until I found that ABS nut, imagination was running wild.

editing to say the f is supposed to be a c in plastic.

At that point he's probably at a hardware store with a proper piece available for purchase at a cheaper price.

Width of the hole in your previous cap or width of the fitting?

If fitting, thats pretty small idk if they have it

The last picture is my actual sink.
If that gives a rough estimate.
I took a tape measure in there and did the best I could without becoming a contortionist looks like a half inch to me.

Will have to check tomorrow. I live in a small town, nearest home depot or late night operation is 2 hours away.

That seems correct I guess, those Amazon ones should be fine, im quite certain that putting that PVC on ABS is fine considering flow doesnt even really go there

Purchase the set from amazon, take the singular cap you need, immediately return the rest of the package. Bezos won't know what hit him.
