No way

Childless people are generally okay in their 30s and 40s but start to break down in their 50s. That's when having children pays dividends and the hard work of taking care of them is over

How do they pay dividends? They still leech off you and wait till you die to claim their inheritance.

Spend the energy, time and money into making more money. When you are +50 and are rolling in dough you can adopt a child if that's your thing or get yourself a nice 18-25 year old girlfriend to keep you happy. You will be waking up in the morning with the biggest smile and skipping to work.

Having children is overrated we don't need so many people any more. We already populated the earth plenty this isn't early 1900's.

1 - they eventually start their own career and make money for themselves, often much more than the parents
2 - they're able bodied when the parents are elderly and need able bodied help
3 - they offer grandkids for the parents to look after and cherish

I could list more but that's just a few material dividends

1. That depends on a lot of factors now days millenials and gen z are poor af can't afford a house and increasingly stay longer at home and leech off their parents. This is statistics
You know what guarantees you will have more money not spending it on kids in the first place. I could put that money into s&p 500 or some real estate rental and it would get me a guaranteed return in 20 years don't need to hope on your children to do well.

2. Most kids are obese and have far more health problems then the previous generation. If you are elderly and need help just hire a young caretaker does the same thing. Kids cost more.

3. If you don't have a purpose or some drive to wake up to every day other than grandchildren you are boring ego driven old fart anyway. For example why do they have to be your grandkids? There are billions of them now just dedicate your life to all grandkids not just "my" grandkids.

What a dumb take. I would bet money that even parents with disabled kids or sick kids wouldn't regret having them.

The only argument that is valid for not having kids is that a meteor will eventually wipe out all of humanity. Even so that's no reason to not start building a family and having relationships with people.

So you just straight up believe everyone should have kids no matter what? As if there isn't already a population problem with the amount of people already not having kids? Why does everyone need to build a family? Not everyone has to do the same thing as everyone else.
