I sell my paintings for money, I'd be in poor luck if people thought the way of OP

Yeah yeah i may have been a bit harsh, there is a line there i should have explained better.. like some people have natural talent for drawing/painting or just craftmanship. Of course that's okay to use that to make a living. But there's like ... the difference comes in, when someone calls themselves an -artist-, on the line of great artists that has produced art that sells for millions, idk, not that many of those objects is worth it in reality, but when someone goes like all-in to flood the market with what they call "art", in hopes to compare themselves to big names. I guess that's where i fail to understand. I mean, i guess you don't charge 4000$ for a painting/drawing? And try to compare yourself to familiar names? Not that people with raw talent don't make good quality, there were people in secondary school i remember that made very cool stuff that could well be used in video games or cartoons and such. But understanding art and really produce art for the ages, idk, isn't that a bit different? I thought that took like 20-30 years to reach that kind of an understanding... Of course it's subjective to a point, but there is a point where it's not anymore, isn't there..

Yeah i guess the market is quite flooded. But there's nothing wrong with trying one's hand at it. Feedback is important, as long as one sticks to one's own style and opinions, because one has to remember that oneself is the artist, if one is going to be an artist, not let public opinion steer one's opinions. Then they are the artists, and not oneself.

This post is a violation of the site rules and appropriate action was taken.

Another tldr pointless thread.

Art is subjective and people can spend their money however they want.

Move on, nothing to see here folks.
