Went down to downtown of my city

Hard to drive around, so many cars. Hard to find parking.

The buildings were all concrete. No trees to be seen anywhere.

Filthy filthy place. Construction everywhere. Dilapidation over dilapidation

After I came home it's hard to forget the filthy trash I saw.

Saw some people setting up Christmas lights.

Sun is further away now and the cold makes the concrete more depressing.


Do you live in a concrete gutter? What is this world coming to? What is Christmas going to be like?

This is how I feel about Portland and other big cities alike. Instant depressant

We all choose where to live .. but yes .. capitalization.. easier for rich people to buy a whole building lot, demolish it, construct a new one, get rent to pay for loan and make $ .. sell again .. repeat process. Instead of building for the future.

I just think like this.. i'm glad i don't live in a stone cave somewhere freezing 20 hours a day, hunting dangerous animals, barely surviving, having to kill others to keep peace, war with neighbouring tribes, having lice, scabies and ticks all the time. I mean, we should be glad we have a shower, stove, washing machine and a bed. And a locked door.

some cities look nicer at xmas time

I lived in a big city for a while and it had its ups and downs, but I missed the pure air and the quiet. Now in the suburbs I kinda miss the city for the restaurants and the nightlife, but at least I don’t have to step over hobos and drug addicts to get to my car.

ITT America is a shit hole.

A friend of mine is pushing hard to get me to go to florida/miami, las vegas and such. A sort of roundtrip. Spend my savings on it. I really don't want to.

My family frequents Mexico and Las Vegas and always try getting me to go and I can never bring myself to spend the money. Rather buy something semipermanent or atleast longer lasting with my money. If I’m going to spend a fat check on a vacation it’s going to be to the middle of absolute nowhere
