government to get rid of food industry waste? Such as mechanically processed meat and such.
Using the most out of an animal is a good thing. But i like to know what i'm consuming, i don't want to be tricked and lured. Like, the staple food in Norway's constitutional day, is sausages. Great way to brainwash our children to eat food waste. It makes me sick to think about. There should be smoking barrels with whole roasted pigs, lamb, salmon.
And one more point: If they actually sold all the parts "normal" people find undelicate, kidney, brain, liver and such, in the frozen food sections, i would actually try to buy and taste them from time to time. Those parts are considered delicacies in fine dining. Why not simply sell them in stores as frozen food? More honest way of doing things. I'm sure that would sell good, among poor people too.
Like Dale says in King of the hill, after Joseph shot a deer, and John Redcorn (an indian) tells him to respect the spirit of the forefathers to utilize every part of the animal: "No problem, we're taking it to the renderin' plant for sausagification." xD
