That sounds interesting. Do you put anything else on it? Like lunch meat? Cold cut of some sort? Cause I think eating bread with only dressing on it is kind of strange.
on a skillet.. butter+marble rye bread like you're starting a toasted cheese.
When the bread just starts to golden put pastrami on the skillet, deli lunch meat sliced style.
When the pastrami is heated/cooked to your liking atop it with swish cheese.
Once the cheese is melting place the pastrami and swish on one of the slices of marble rye.
Top that with thousand islands dressing and place the other slice of bread on top.
cut in half and enjoy.
