can you microwave hot italian sausages from the grocery store? or is this asking for the plague/ruined food?

as long as they're already fully cooked, yes. if they haven't been fully cooked, then you have to cook them properly
e/ you don't have to cook them properly, but if you don't want to get food poisoning, it's probably best you cook them properly
