It's only a dishwashing job at a restaurant but I need the job and really want to nail the interview tomorrow. In interviews when they ask a direct question I can answer it no problem with a good enough answer (I think?) but I tend to get nervous and I'm just trying to prepare myself as much as possible. The questions like "Tell me about a time you..." get me all caught up. Any idea what kind of questions they might be at a dishwashing interview??

Thx :D

The interview won’t be too tough
Tell them you are a self starter when you know the processes they want you to do
Tell them that you show up on time and you are punctual

be dependable, willing to work. consistent, and stay out of workplace drama

and then tell employers for those types of jobs that you are willing to work, dependable, consistent

they might ask silly questions based on local management or act like a big fish in a small pond and dangle a carrot in the interview or try to get you to chase the cheese but just make the above clear and what happens happens

there are always those types of jobs opening up and they all benefit from an employee being the above so one will give you a shot eventually

Okay thank you guys, I just didn't want to stumble on a question and completely blow the interview, probably just me being nervous.

they are just gonna snag someone that looks like the first decent candidate or they are gonna bring in someone they like based on appearance or local connections

it's just how it goes in that type of work which is why it's important to stay on the talking points I mentioned above there isn't anything else you can do about how they pick

don't let it bum you out too much even though you're a bit desperate right now, an employer picking you when you act yourself leads to a much easier work experience for you so you can actual put in a chunk of months or a year+ and don't end up doing this all over again in 2 weeks because it wasn't a good fit
