Hello. Just wondering what your thoughts are on this organization? It's based in the US, I read a few of their articles, they seem like a legitimate organization who truly cares about doing the right thing. However, before I open up my wallet, I would like to get a sense of what they really are like.

EFF is a legit and helpful organization. Where some groups claim to be doing what is best for someone's rights and other things on online spaces, EFF is doing it.

I do what I can. I will also try and spread my message, first online and then depending on how that goes, also offline.

Sometimes I feel like I am that small mustard seed that Jesus was talking about, :D

Naw. I might quit GC, depending on a few things, but once in a while I pop back in D2 discussion to ask questions about how to outfit my strafazon.

Thank you sir for the input, stuff like this is exactly what I need.

May I ask you how you arrived at your conclusion? I have long heard of EFF, however, it wasn't until literally tonight, that I was quite convinced of their charitable campaigns and missions. Where did I get this from? Well, I got it from asking Proton's chatbot, Lumo. I asked Lumo what other charities Proton Foundation was involved in, and one of the names I saw was EFF. And I asked that because I wanted to know what organizations were worthy of donating to (just in case people can't tell, I LOVE opening up my wallet, lol)

I have been on their emailing list for as long as I can remember. Great resource for exploring what is happening in the world of digital rights. As for donations, and I do not wish to tell anyone what to do, so, please, you do what you wish to do. I highly suggest a local children's hospital. You can walk in and there are offices where you can sit down and talk to people who will share how your funds will be spent. Most children's hospitals do not use donations for their own costs, but to help families with the care that their child/children need and sometimes with temporary accommodations if the family travels in from a distance. Again, you do what you wish. Just making a gentle suggestion.

Uh, it's kind of weird, your response, no offense. First, you are like, "EFF is great" and then I ask you if I should donate to them, you say, "Don't let me influence you, BUT, why don't you divert your money to ___ ". Its like you're gently steering me away from EFF. Just sharing how I honestly feel.

Yup. Cats which wear tinfoil hats are often thinking of many different things. EFF is great. With that said, funds are always being cut from helpful health services as like children hospitals. So, if you have been bitten to donate, I think that families who are struggling while their children are in the hospital could experience less hardships with a donation or two. :hail:

Que? Now im even more confused. What are "cats who wear tinfoil hats" and furthermore do you think im one? What does that even mean? And what is " have been bitten to donate"? Is that your way of saying, "if you really want to donate"? Are you talking in riddles because this forum is infested with feds? Is the EFF worth donating to, or not? And please stop talking about children's hospitals, I only have limited money to donate, thanks.
