Given all of those 4 things you can pretty well assume whether or not a blacktail will be on their feet and moving versus bedded

Mule deer, Whitetail deer, and blacktail deer are all very different. Each has subspecies and they can interbreed. Blacktails are by far the hardest to hunt, living in the rainforest and referred to as the Grey ghost. Some people hunt blacktails all their lives and never even see a mature buck


Blacktail whitetail taste about the same depends on the region it's harvested. I've had some shit blacktails but they were backcountry warriors not apple dwellers
