tl;dr: People need space to feel loved and to feel safe. That's all that I am saying.
Lengthy view:
First and foremost, much love to the wife and children and to the close friends of Charlie Kirk. May they find the means to heal from this tragedy.
For me, as I do not speak for anyone else in this forum nor for anyone else in general, this is a moment to come together. The following captures the very heart of what I would have loved to have said, but that this person said it best.
Quote
"Come together, Republicans and Democrats, and say 'Listen. Let's take politics and gun rights and everything else out of it right now. And. lets as both parties say "We've got to stop this." We can fight like hell about ideology. But, we've got to stop this." — Glenn Kirschner, an American attorney
By 'this', I think Glenn means to stop or impede the desire to end another's life due to possessing opposing beliefs and/or life philosophies. I wholeheartedly agree.
I do not give a rat's ass if we have the same or opposing ideas about the topics that we share about. My most valuable idea revolves around children, adults, and our elderly having what they need to feel loved, to be safe, and to have the opportunities to find and to keep a job or two or three if they so want that.
Peace from your kooky forum friend
